Meet Sam, the world’s ugliest dog. Sam was a blind pure-bred Chinese Crested hairless dog! Sam lived a long life from November 1990 – November 18, 2005; just shy of his fifteenth birthday.

Sam was blind with opaque, milky white eyes adding to his frightening look. He was a three time champion of The World’s Ugliest Dog Contest; held every year in California at the Sonoma-Marin Fair.

His owner, Susie Lockheed adopted him in 2000, and misses him so much that she now sleeps with his favorite stuffed animal.

Sam’s ugliness had made him world famous and even got him a role on Criss Angel’s 2005 Mindfreak Halloween Special! He was featured on CNN; he rode in limousines; and even met up with Donald Trump!
