Wolf-child Enjoys being Popular

By • May 7, 2011 • 2 Comments

Her school nicknames are things like “monkey face” and “wolf girl,” but 11-year-old Supatra Sasuphan doesn’t let any of that bother her. She has always faced unmerciless teasing by her school mates, but she says that being named the hairiest girl in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records has made her very popular.

Her school photos may be unusual pictures to anyone else, but she feels as beautiful as anyone. She says that although many people have to do some crazy things to get into the book, all she had to do is provide a few facts and answer a few questions, and she was in!

Her affliction, Ambras Syndrome, has been around for hundreds of years, and she is one of only 50 people known to be afflicted in the world currently.
