Wow, the title sounds like a horror movie you would find on the Sci-Fi Channel at 2am. Amazingly enough, bizarre things like this are sometimes true. Check out the odd photo, the stalk of the fungus on the head of that ant looks like reindeer antlers.

This is no reindeer, and that fungus is actually four different species, and they can control the mind of the ant they attach to. This has been verified by scientists, far smarter than you or me. As far as crazy animal photos go, this is right up there.
The fungus is found in the rainforest, and it infests the ant, takes control of its brain, and then kills the ant once it has moved on to a place that allows the fungi to prosper and spread its spores. They speculate that the four different fungi are each assigned to a different ant species to take over their brains.
