The engineers at Eurocopter have designed a new helicopter: the Eurocopter X3 hybrid. This is the fastest helicopter in the world. It is powered by two engines. The first engine rotates the rotor, while the second is actually spinning pull screws attached to the small wings. The Eurocopter can fly at an astounding 430 kilometers per hour (267 mph).

Some more astonishing facts, Eurocopter X3 has one extra engine to power its five-blade main rotor system, and two propellers installed on short wings on the aircraft, all are bizarre things in the world of helicopters. With this type of engineering, it gives this big bird about twice the speed of the ordinary helicopter (about 160 mph).

Eurocopter X3 will be used for emergency services, and for military personnel transport over land and water, various offshore operations, and even. Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defense and related services.
