Memory like an Elephant is true, they never forget—especially being burned by chili peppers.

Tanzanian farmers who are victims of rebounding Elephant populations invading their land and eating all the crops are thankful for that spicy fact.

According to Newser these giant Pachyderms are voracious eaters, consuming up to 660 pounds of food every day.

The dangers and prohibitive expense of electric fences warrant them useless, luckily an effective low-tech solution was found by the farmers: engine oil and chili peppers make up a brew that adheres to fences despite heavy rains.

Oskar the Blind Kitten

Oskar was adopted back in July 2011.  Unlike most cats he was born without eyes.

Despite a lack of sight, Oskar is like any other kitten at 8 weeks old.  Full of energy and curiosity.

As you can tell from the below video he behaves just like any 8 week old kitten.  But from the last video he show a lack of fear of hair dyers.  Despite having a lack of sight the kitten appears to react on touch, sound, and smell. Which is why toy balls with bells in them are great for a blind cat.  Despite this single missing sense, Oskar will make a great house cat. Here is to wishing Oskar a long and healthy life.

Mystery Whale Found 875 Yards From Sea

Strange circumstances brings a 33 foot whale to a grassy field more then 800 yards from the shore of Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

This may be a rare Sei whale, and only 3 occasions in the last 20 years has this species been found beached in the UK.

Some scientists suspect this mammal became stranded and died after an abnormally high tide carried it to a salt marsh. But others have different theories. During the summer 10 Minke whales were spotted regularly off the North Yorkshire coast  from Whitby to Scarborough. Whale experts admit they do not know the cause in the increase in sightings.

World-Record Cat With TWO Faces Celebrates 12th Birthday

Despite his odd appearance, it was love at first sight for owner Marty Stevens after laying eyes on newborn cat Frank and Louie, who has two faces, two mouths, two noses and three eyes. This year, Frank and Louie have set a new world record. He is the longest-surviving cat with two faces and he is celebrating his 12th birthday!

Against all odds, Frank and Louie has been able to survive without much trouble, entering the 2012 Guinness World Records book as the longest-surviving member of his breed at 12 years.
