Eternal Lightning In Venezuela

Venezuela has one of the most bizarre things in the world, called Catatumbo. It’s a rare natural phenomenon of eternal lightning that occurs only at the mouth of the Catatumbo River, at Lake Maracaibo Catatumbo.

Mysteriously, this is a cloud lightning with bolts of 5 kilometers length. For ten hours each night for up to 160 nights per year, the lightning puts on a show like a wild Fourth of July night in America. These remarkable lightning bolts strike over 280 times per hour, with engineers reporting an intensity of 400,000 amperes. The fantastic “light show” can be seen in a radius of 400 kilometers (248.5 miles).

This sport is a return to nature, and even though it looks like one of the most bizarre things you’ll ever see, it is reportedly exhilarating. As you see in this dynamic photo, only a short chord is between the daring surfer and the horse with rider. It is highly dangerous as such a speed. The surfer is being towed at speeds up to 35mph (56kph) through the fun waves.

The Boy Who Sees Despite Blindness

Ben Underwood a truly remarkable boy who could see without his eyes! Underwood seems to be a typical boy, if you see him playing on the street in front of his suburban home (Elk Grove) near Sacramento, California. He is not typical at all, and of all the bizarre things, he can “see” without eyes. He uses a method similar to sonar to get around.

At the age of two, he was diagnosed with retinal cancer, and by the age of three Ben Underwood had his eyes removed.

World’s Fastest Helicopter

The engineers at Eurocopter have designed a new helicopter: the Eurocopter X3 hybrid. This is the fastest helicopter in the world. It is powered by two engines. The first engine rotates the rotor, while the second is actually spinning pull screws attached to the small wings. The Eurocopter can fly at an astounding 430 kilometers per hour (267 mph).
