This savory-looking meal is a balut. It is nothing more than a fertilized duck embryo boiled while alive, and then eaten from its shell.

If this looks like it among the bizarre things to eat, perhaps it will be more appealing to know that it is believed to be an aphrodisiac. It’s naturally high in protein, and offered for you to enjoy in parts of Southeast Asia. It is commonly sold on the streets by vendors. In the Philippines, you can hear the vendor yelling, “Balut, balut”, until a customer arrives.

World’s Fastest Train: CRH380A

The CRH380A is a futuristic Chinese high speed train, fastest train in the world, manufactured by CSR Qingdao Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. This train is designed to operate at the speed of 380 km/h while in operation and 480 km/h while it’s in testing. The train use 25 kV AC Overhead electrical system, and rides slightly in the air from a super electro-magnetic system.

It amazingly can easily bring 494 passengers. The main route served is Shanghai–Nanjing and Shanghai–Hangzhou.

Worlds Largest Ice Cream Cone

Presenting the world’s largest ice cream cone. It can cool you off on any hot summer day, and give your taste buds a treat at the same time! It looks like a prop from Gulliver’s Travels, but is a real dessert. This delicious masterpiece was created in January, 2011 from the staff from an ice cream parlor, known as Mirco della Vecchia.

They put it together at the International Ice Cream Fair organized in Rimini Italy.

The Coldest Town In The World

This small town has a population of almost 1000 people. It has the distinguished title of being the coldest inhabited place in the world. Reportedly, (who wants to go there and find out) it is so cold in Oymyakon that birds actually will freeze in mid-flight.

You may wonder, if you plan to move there with a family, if schools are ever closed due to inclement weather. Seriously, strange facts are schools don’t close until it is less than -52°C outdoors. Regrettably, there is no shopping mall of Super Wal Marts.
